Top Selections for Paris
Written by Taylor Martinerin on January 15, 2010 – 10:02 am -Picking a schedule in the fabled City of Lights might seem daunting at first. Hopefully this guide will help give you an idea of just what sites in Paris should be on any tourist’s schedule.
Of course, this guide doesn’t replace a guided tour – try to take a day tour or possibly two if you can, just to get a better idea what would fit your personal idea what should be seen. This will also help you get a general idea of the city’s layout, so you won’t be completely lost once you’re out and about the city on your own. Make sure you know how to pronounce where you’re staying, just in case. These basic steps might really come in handy, just in case you get lost.
The first, most obvious choice is the Eiffel Tower. Who wouldn’t love a view of the entire city of Paris?! The tower is open in the summer from 9:30AM until Midnight and during the winter from 10:00AM to 11:00PM every day of the week.
The Louvre is another obvious selection on any quick tour of Paris, especially for art lovers. Housing tens of thousands of artworks, the Louvre really does live up to it’s phenomenal reputation.

Himalaya Mountains
Written by dgates on December 25, 2008 – 8:51 am -
India is home to one of the most beautiful mountains in the world, the Himalaya Mountains, which boast the world’s highest and most famousĀ mountain peak, Mt. Everest.
In a memorable verse of the ‘Kumarsambhava’, the famous Sanskrit poet Kalidasa compares the Himalaya to a gigantic measuring rod striding the earth between two oceans. The snow-capped peaks are indeed the most impressive feature. Himalaya, a Sankrit word, which means ‘ The Abode Of Snow’ and all other names used to describe this mountain range associate it with eternal snow – “Himvan”, “Himvat”, “Himachal” and “Himadri”.
