Hawaii – The worlds greatest natural wonders on one set of islands.

Hawaiian History

The early years of Hawaii remains a mystery to many. Many volcanic islands were not able to sustain human life at the time. The Polynesians prepared themselves by equipping their canoes with life sustaining items such as coconuts, taro, sugar cane, and other vital items. Preparing ahead allowed them survive a lengthy voyage successfully.

The Hawaiian population swelled to a stunning amount by the time Cook arrived. It is believed that the island had a population between four hundred thousand and eight hundred thousand. Some historians even debate that over one million people could existed on the island at the time due to the fine methods of food production and living conditions. Hawaii was considered to be a stone age society since there were no observance of any metals on the islands.
