Written by Chris Colin on June 29, 2010 – 4:12 pm -[I:http://sacredcowtipping.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/ChrisColin1.png]
Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha said on Wednesday that a Motorola superphone will soon be released. Once this phone makes it to the market, it may spell the end for smartphones. Who is going to want a caveman(smartphone) tool when you can have a modern one(superphone)? What will make these superphones so much better than the current technology, read along to find out.
Motorola Superphone vs. Smartphones
No current smartphone, not even the iPhone 4, will have the power and processing potential that the Motorola superphone is rumored to possess. A 2 GHz chip will be quite enough to literally double the current output of the 1 GHz chip that is in the most powerful phones available now. Talk about a major picker upper for speed and storage capabilities. All your programs will be working faster and smoother.
If the FROYO 2.2 O.S. , Android’s newest operating system, is ready, the Motorola superphone could be the first phone to have this preinstalled. Nvidia’s Tegra chip for graphics that are extremely clear and crisp should be included as well. Plus you can expect it to have Flash 10.1 hardware acceleration so that you can see Flash graphics and movies on your phone, which even the iPhone 4 does not have.

Apple’s Success With The Iphone
Written by Steve Appleton on June 16, 2010 – 9:50 am -2007 saw what we now consider the birth of the Smartphone as we know it today, when Apple released its first iPhone to an eagerly awaiting global audience, only happy to part with their cash to get their hands on the latest must have gadget. But what made the device as successful as it was?
Arguably the most notable thing about the device, the first thing that got people talking, was the integrated touch screen technology. Granted, touch screen technology was not a new thing! But this was the first time it was being made so widely available and feasibly affordable for a large number of consumers. A touch screen meant there was no need for a keyboard and Apple put that extra space to good use, in creating a screen that made up the majority of the front exterior of the phone and that made mobile browsing feasible and simple.
The device basically incorporated absolutely everyone that someone might want on a device they could carry in their pocket. It came with a fully functioning iPod MP3 player, the ability to stream Youtube video, in built camera, email, text messaging and telephone call capabilities, maps and, when the app store launched later, a seemingly limitless range of downloadable games and utilities. Today, there are more than 180,000 different applications on the app store, which have contributed to the more than 3 billion downloads from the app store since its launch.

Smartphone Showdown: IPhone 4 Vs. DROID Incredible
Written by Matt Colin on June 13, 2010 – 12:31 pm -[I:http://sacredcowtipping.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/MattColin0.png]
Comparisons of the iPhone 4 and DROID Incredible
With the iPhone 4 now being officially released, the real question on everyone’s mind is, “How is it going to stack up against the currently superior DROID Incredible?” Well, we finally have that answer, and it looks like Apple has done it again. The new iPhone 4 packs quite a punch especially considering many of it’s features are not only comparably better than that of the DROID Incredible but also outside the realm of possibilities for the DROID Incredible due to Apple’s proprietary software and hardware. This isn’t to say that the iPhone 4 is better in every aspect however, there are many features that the DROID Incredible still offers that the iPhone simply can’t match. Even so, it’s been a hard fought battle up to this point for about the past year with regards to market share, but with this new release I see nothing short of a landslide victory in the coming months. The real competition that the iPhone 4 will now face is the HTC EVO.

Marketing On The Ipad Set To Rise?
Written by Andrew Fletcher on June 12, 2010 – 12:21 pm -The US snapped up iPads at unprecedented speed when they went on sale earlier on in 2010. In fact, two months on and they are still selling at a rate of around 200,000 devices per days, despite what some considered a fairly hefty price tag.
In fact, the Americans wanted so many of the latest Apple gadget that the company was forced to delay its international launch by several weeks simply to meet the demand of the masses Stateside. However, the device is now going global and the business market is just as excited as the gadget gobbling consumer market.
When the iPhone first went on sale back in 2007, it wasn’t long before the App Store followed, which in turn was followed by an army of businesses coming to see the potential of marketing through the device. There are currently 10 million mobile internet users in the UK alone. If demand for the iPad in the UK matches expectations then this number could increase as well.

Mobile Computing With An External Hard Drive
Written by Heather Peters on June 3, 2010 – 7:15 am -With the current storage capacities of the standard hard drives, people now opt for the hard drives that mount externally because of many reasons. Choosing the best external hard drive is not rocket science but, you only need to be aware of some points and you will get a very good one at very good price.
First of all, you need to identify the right storage capacity for your new external drive. Those who are looking for very small storage capacities like 2 to 8 GB could use a thumb drive that would cost them a little and can perform well but, when it comes to higher capacities the, a good external drive would be much better and efficient.
The next step would be to decide on the hard drive type you would like to get. Mechanical and solid state are the two types that are available. You can choose your drive based on the cost you are willing to spend.
Each one has its own pros and cons but, basically a solid state would be easier and quicker to store and retrieve data but, if it is wiped away, it would be very hard or impossible to get the information back while the mechanical hard drives are slower but, they could be easier to retrieve lost data even after formatting.

Mobile Marketing As A SaaS Solution
Written by Alex Speirs on May 26, 2010 – 2:26 pm -For too long, using software has been a long, arduous and overly complex process.
With too many companies, these issues have become prohibitive – preventing access to the latest and greatest software because of current prejudices. These connotations worsen when the programs in question are for marketing. The processes involved were long, complicated and arduous. But is there a better way to do this?
There is. And the solution is software as a service, otherwise known as SaaS. This method distinguishes itself from the increasingly archaic traditional software process, by having the application completely online. All of the content is hosted by the service provider, generally requiring users to only have access to an internet connection in order to access the application. That means no more pesky installations, no CD’s, no compatibility issues and plenty of saved time and money. Users simply register an account, login and go.
