Make Your Road Trip More Enjoyable With The Right Electronics

Many vacations have been undertaken by driving the family vehicle to and from the destination. These days we have plush interiors and a usually a much smoother ride than those first brave motorists had.
Adults will know that there are certain items that must be brought on a road trip by car, but when there are children coming along with you, entertaining them is a big issue or it will not be a pleasant ride for long. Keeping them occupied between stops is important for everyone’s peace of mind. Apple Lead Microsoft In Market Value
Written by Tom Doerr on June 1, 2010 – 11:50 am -Apple has now surpassed technology goliath Microsoft in value, the product innovation gurus landed a market value of $222.07bn, a mere $3bn above Microsoft. The news comes after the stock market closed with Apple shares down 0.45% but Microsoft down by 4.07%.
The California-based tech giant was only beaten by oil giants ExxonMobil with a $278.64bn market value. To buy a share in Apple would now cost you 10 times what it would have a decade ago, just a year before new boss Steve Jobs launched a series of revolutionary products including the most iconic product of the 21st century, the iPod.
This is not the first time Apple have had a higher market value than Microsoft, in December 1989 the over took them for a short period of time and the company whose operating system runs on more than 90% of the world’s computers has never been able to match the growth rates it experienced in the 1990s. Contrary to Apple, Microsoft stock has decreased by 20% in ten years.

Why Are All The Children Losing Their Hearing?

Many of these patients are predicted to have the hearing capacity of a 60 year old by the age of 30. However this epidemic is not down to diseases or a virus but the rising exposure to high volumes of noise.
The rise in popularity of MP3s and personal entertainment devices is causing many children to listen to music in earphones without observing the noise guidelines, this kind of concentrated noise damages the ears, often beyond repair. Many children are often exposed to loud noises against their will, for example being taken to a music or sporting event by their parents, although their parents may have no idea that it poses a risk. Dr Martin, Professor of preventive medicine at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland said, “If a sound reaches 85 decibels and over an extended period, it can permanently damage hearing. The safe level for an iPod is 80 per cent on the volume slider. If you listen to music at that level, you can safely listen for 90 minutes a day.”
