Break the Pinata
Everyone loves to try to break the pinata. Blindfold each participant when it is his or her turn. Slowly spin them around a few times and hand them a bat or broomstick. Point them in the general direction of the pinata and make sure no one gets in the way. Depending on how many people you have lined up to try, you may want to either use a timer or count how many tries each person gets.
After filling everyone up with treats try a Mexican hat race. With this relay, you run off all that energy from the sugar. Get a couple of sombreros. Split everyone into two teams. Have the teams pick which hat is theirs and place that sombrero on the other side of the room or yard. The players race in pairs over to the hat, dance three times in a circle around it, and race back to tag the next person on the team. To win, your team must be the first to finish.

Go Away and Go Green!
Written by Liz Weber on March 14, 2010 – 12:47 pm -Everywhere you turn as of late, someone or something is telling you to definitely Go Green! In the past, going green meant with envy, but today people have gotten hip to the fact the environment is in trouble and it’s on us to aid ensure it is a better place.
Now, I’m no Greenpeace Activist, but I do my part. I recycle. I turn off lights. I even purchased those hideous spiral light bulbs for lamps in my house. With many people, these small life adjustments are adequate. For some who desire to achieve more, there’s surprisingly many things they could do to diminish their carbon footprint in the world.
Ever think about going green on your vacation? Recently, I visited Tulum, a small beach town about 90 minutes south of Cancun. While the jungle makes up over 90 % of the environment, it?s not exactly the green I’m talking about. For years, Tulum has been the host to a growing number of eco-friendly resorts. These resorts operate almost exclusively on wind and solar power though many do have gas or diesel powered back-up generators just in case. Most of the eco resorts do use wind and solar for the majority of their power needs.

Home Insurance- A Higher Deductible Equals Higher Savings
Written by Michel Schryver on March 14, 2010 – 12:36 pm -As if there weren’t enough bills to pay, you also need to budget for your home insurance. Not being insured really is not an option. Should something happen, you are going to seriously struggle to meet the bills. This could mean something major, like your roof being ripped off in high winds, not a broken pane of glass in the front porch. However, home insurance can, like all insurances, be expensive, and it can be tempting to compromise the level of coverage in order to get a lower premium. But, there is another way.
All home insurance policies will have a deductible figure, and this is set at an affordable level. However, if you can afford to increase this figure then you can seriously reduce the amount you pay in monthly premiums. What you are then doing is accepting that minor damage to your home is not something you are going to involve you insurance company with. For example, if you can afford $500 then you would not bother to claim for any repairs that come in at that level, or even just over that level. You accept that you will have to claim should the damage exceed this figure but once you do claim, you are also going to be hit with a premium increase the following year so you want to really make sure that claiming is the best bet. Many people accept certain elements of annual damage. They know that the cost of correcting them is not beyond their means; they simply accept them as such. They are safeguarding their home insurance policies at the lowest possible premiums but with the highest level of coverage just in case something major happens and they really have no choice but to claim.

Written by Pete Malcolm on March 14, 2010 – 11:28 am -One of the main reasons that people are hesitant when it comes to renting a private villa is because they may be under the perception that booking with a mainstream resort is easier, more secure and cheaper. However, renting a private villa in Huatulco is becoming increasingly easier because of online booking companies and travel agents. The growing trend towards renting a private villa has a lot to do with the fact that renting a private villa is not only easier, it’s more flexible as there are often more amenities, privacy and luxuries. On top of that – 9 times out of 10 – it is CHEAPER!! This might seem hard to believe but there is no hiding the realities of the dollars and cents.
Huatulco Villas
Huatulco has a dedicated online booking engine for Villa rentals that will be launching at the end of November 2008.
