Creating An Effective Resume That Will Land You A Job
Written by Elizabeth Kelly on July 1, 2010 – 11:03 am -Employers won’t waste their time contacting people for interviews if they are not impressed by your resume. If you have been submitting your resume daily for a while and are not getting responses, maybe it’s time to take a look at your resume and make some changes.
The content of your resume is what decides whether or not an employer contacts you. You need to make sure you are putting the right stuff in your resume. What kind of stuff should be put in your resume to make sure that happens?
The objective is a short paragraph stating what you are looking for and what you would like to accomplish. The objective is what employers see first, and is especially important for recent graduates, entry level positions, and changing fields of work. However, some employers find the objective unnecessary for professional resumes.
Include your employment history for no more than the past three to five years. Also, don’t include information that is irrelevant to the job you are applying for.
Have your previous employment accomplishments ready in case an employer tries to find some weak points from any of your previous employers. Don’t be afraid to build yourself up.

A Guide To Cleaning Any Bedroom And Ways To Keep It That Way
Written by Elizabeth Kelly on June 30, 2010 – 1:58 pm -Cleaning one’s room can be an arduous task. It seems that the concept of entropy would lead us to believe that the universe is destined to become disorganized. This is certainly the case with my room. If I don’t make a concerted effort to keep it clean, it will unravel very quickly.
Over time, I have gotten much better at the process and have figured out some tricks and tips along the way. Here are some of the best ways to keep a clean room.
Dustbuster- Getting a dustbuster will save you time from mopping and will allow you to clean up big chunks of dust with minimal hassle.
Another way to clean up dirt is to purchase a compact sweeper, like a Swiffer WetJet. This is a great way to keep a clean and shiny floor if you don’t have room for a mop and bucket.
Make Your Bed – Get in the habit of making your bed when you leave in the morning. The bed brings a room together, and if you have a clean bed, the rest will follow suit.

The Quickest Way To Find The Right Home Builder To Design Your New Home
Written by Nathan Graves on June 30, 2010 – 1:20 pm -Over the years, it has been a dream for many people to be able to design a home the way they want. Unfortunately this can cost a little more money than the run of the mill houses being sold for cheap, with the exact same styles as around the neighborhood. Well for those of you have always considered it a dream, but now want to make it a real possibility, then there are a few things you must avoid when hiring a contractor to do the designing for you.
A very important thing to make sure you do is to fully discuss the entire project including the rates before you sign any contracts. If you don’t have this completely hammered out than their can be some significant delays if anything goes wrong. Legal battles about the money will start and this will only postpone the process.
Another important thing you should always do is to see multiple contractors before making a decision. This is important so you can see the professionalism of the individuals and compare their skills. The first contractor you go to will most likely not be the best suit for you. Do some shopping around first.

The History Of San Francisco
Written by Christien Tinsley on June 30, 2010 – 12:10 pm -San Francisco, known to its residents as The City, has a long and very colorful history. Dating as far back as the 1500s it has been shrouded in the mystery of historical events that have literally shaken the very foundation of The City and changed the very fabric of its existence. In 1849, James Marshall made a discovery of gold in a Sierra sawmill and it was then that San Francisco became the closest port to the famous “Mother Lode,” the site of the Gold Rush in the West.
After this huge discovery and the overnight creation of many new fortunes, the gold fever spread and over 50,000 people flocked to (and through) San Francisco, then a small harbor town, in search of their riches. Soon enough The City began to flourish as more and more buildings were going up and the city limits were spreading. Investors from all over the world were intrigued with the prospect of making a fortune and poured in to aid in the further development of The City’s businesses and homes. San Francisco continued to thrive as the Gold Rush was in full boom and in full swing.

What You Need To Know About Toothpaste
Written by Elizabeth Kelly on June 30, 2010 – 11:42 am -As consumers, we’re clearly influenced in choosing products based on massive advertising budgets that major brands have. One of these products that we’re influenced by is toothpaste. Whether its whitening pastes, tartar control toothpaste or gum care, they’re all marketed and as consumers, we really don’t know what we’re getting. Well, let’s find out a bit more about these products.
Tartar control toothpaste should remove tartar, but most studies show that it actually does not remove tartar. However, they do help to prevent tartar from building up.
The build up of tartar below the gum line is one of the main reasons why gum disease is developed. These tartar pastes do not reduce tartar below the gums, which is a problem. The best way to solve this problem is by visiting your dentist 2x per year to remove the build up. Many companies are working on a solution for this.
Many consumers wonder which are better, gels or pastes? Most people assume that gels are less abrasive, but they’re actually not! Gels include silica, which is sand like substance and for this reason, gels are actually more abrasive. Both are safe and considered effective cleaners, so this is just a matter of preference.

CompTIA Network Tech Support Certification Revealed
Written by Jason Kendall on June 30, 2010 – 4:59 am -These days, commercial institutions would struggle were it not for support workers mending networks and computers, while making recommendations to users on a regular basis each week. With the increasingly complex nature of technological advances, many more trained staff are required to look after the many areas we’ve become dependent on.
Review the following facts carefully if you think the sales ploy of an ‘Exam Guarantee’ sounds great value:
Of course it’s not free – you’re still coughing up for it – it’s just been included in your package price.
Evidence shows that when students fund their own exams, one by one, they will be much more likely to get through on the first attempt – because they’re aware of their investment in themselves and will therefore apply themselves appropriately.
Do your exams at a local pro-metric testing centre and don’t pay up-front, but seek out the best deal for you when you’re ready.
Paying upfront for examination fees (plus interest – if you’re financing your study) is madness. Resist being talked into filling the training company’s account with extra money of yours just to give them more interest! Some will be pinning their hopes on the fact that you won’t get to do them all – then they’ll keep the extra money.

Great Lakes And Global Warming: A Recipe For Regional Reshaping
Written by Adriana Noton on June 30, 2010 – 2:54 am -A century worth of human innovation including the industrial revolution can wreck havoc to any environment that it comes into contact with. With leaps in scientific measurement we can now look at the world in completely new ways and a side effect of that is being able to look into the future with some certainty. Climate change is a hot topic along with its effects. The Great Lakes and global warming is a situation that will significantly change an entire region.
Already dealing with the onslaught of invasive species, global warming will only add additional pressure to the Great Lakes region. These vast reservoirs of fresh water account for twenty percent of the total amount of fresh water on the planet, a resource that will become scarcer in the future.
Being a huge reservoir for fresh water cannot be downplayed in its importance, but there are other things that the region provides. It is a main player in the waterway shipping, as well as a provider of hydroelectric energy to many surrounding areas. Many tourists flock to its shores, which are also a treasure trove of plant and animal species.

Dangerous Home Treatments You Shouldn’t Consider
Written by Elizabeth Kelly on June 29, 2010 – 3:20 pm -If you have an ailment, pain, or illness, you’ll probably head to a pharmacy to purchase an expensive over the counter or prescription treatment to help you treat your condition. This is a modern convenience. In the recent past, people relied on folk medicine or home remedies to help them when they were ill or injured. Some home remedies are legitimate and useful, but many were actually harmful and should be avoided. Here are three of the most damaging:
#1: Killing Head Lice With Kerosene
It sounds crazy to us now, but back in the day people would use a small amount of kerosene to kill head lice in children. They would actually comb this through their children’s hair! Sure, it killed the lice, but it was horribly dangerous.
Kerosene is of course flammable, which is one danger of using this remedy. Worse, it’s also very toxic, and it absorbs easily through the skin. This is one home remedy that was far worse than the condition it was meant to treat. At least head lice don’t kill you.
#2: Treating Your Stomach Woes With “Greta” or “Azarcon”
