Cruise Ships And Why I Love Them So Much

Written by Tricia Valenstine on January 21, 2010 – 3:32 pm -

There are many people that want to take a great vacation, something that they will remember for the rest of their lives, something great. If you want a vacation like this then you may want to consider taking a cruise on board of a cruise ship.

Cruise ships come in many sizes, and you may be wondering what there is to do when you are aboard a cruise ship. There are many activities that are common on the big ships that hold 1500 or more people; I am going to be covering these common amenities that can be found in many major cruise lines that are out there.

Many cruises will stop at ports, so make sure that you have a passport handy so that you will be able to go offshore. Along with the port stops, many offer guided exertions, so if there is a particular place that you always wanted to visit, then you may be able to arrive there in a cruise ship.

If you like to tan or like to swim, you can enjoy sparkling swimming pools that are usually located on the sun deck. For those that want to relieve muscle tension there are massages available, along with hot tubs and saunas on most cruises.

Cruises – Do You Think You Could Get Seasick On A Cruise?

Written by Dorothy Yamich on December 5, 2009 – 3:23 pm -

There are numerous people who like to travel and would love to take a cruise holiday or vacation but are concerned that they may get seasick. If they think that it might be a problem they should just book a short one to three day cruise. Also, the info below may change their minds concerning seasickness on cruises.

Modern cruise ships have drastically reduced the problem of seasickness. The larger ships of today cut through the waves instead of riding on top of them. As well, new technologies like stabilizers and counterbalancing systems have greatly reduced the pitch and roll of these ships, all but neutralizing the problem of seasickness.

However, if you think you have a severe seasickness problem, you may want to book an inside cabin located on a lower deck and in the middle of the ship. This is the area of the ship where the least rocking motion is felt. If you are planning to book a trans-Atlantic cruise, it is possible that an ocean crossing may be rough at certain times.

Holidays Or Vacations – Hunt For Bedbugs In Hotels Or Resorts

Written by Dorothy Yamich on December 3, 2009 – 3:32 pm -

Most people when they travel on holidays or vacations who stay at hotels and resorts never think of it, but they may have some uninvited guests. Bed bugs definitely don’t make good hotel or resort roommates when you’re on a vacation or holiday.

Even the best luxurious five-star hotels and resorts can occasionally get an infestation of bed bugs. This is sometimes unavoidable because many hundreds, or even thousands of travelers and tourists can be staying at a hotel or resort at any given time. These little blood drinking critters can easily hitch a ride on unsuspecting travelers or hide in their luggage. Hotel and resort managers are very aware of this problem and do their best to prevent this from happening.

What do these blood sucking pests look like?

Bedbugs are very tiny, flat, wingless bugs. Their size can vary from a head of a pin to about one-quarter of an inch in length when fully mature. They have an oval shape and look like small watermelon seeds. Their color can vary from a translucent yellow to a dark reddish brown. If they have just dined on a traveler’s blood they may appear dark brown or black in color.

Advantages and Disadvantages of All-Inclusive Cruise Ships

Written by dgates on January 1, 2009 – 3:39 am -

Vacationing is a pastime that is enjoyed by many.  While vacations are nice, needed, and important, they can become costly. This cost is often associated with additional expenses such as food, beverages, and entertainment.  If you are interested in vacationing aboard a cruise ship, but you are worried about the cost, you don’t necessarily have to be.

All-inclusive cruise ships are cruise ships where just about everything is included.  The cost of your drinks, food, and entertainment are often taken care of.  If you are wondering whether or not you should book reservations aboard a traditional cruise ship or an all-inclusive cruise ship, you are not alone.  A large number of travels wonder the same thing.
