Ignore the Publicity Myths So You Can Get Free Publicity
Written by Danek S. Kaus on March 12, 2010 – 3:07 am -There is a lot of misunderstanding about the nature of free publicity and how to go about getting it. Here are seven myths that may keep you from getting the publicity you deserve.
Myth 1. Publicity and advertising are the same. You pay for advertising, but you don’t pay for publicity. Even if you hire a publicist, the cost is much less than advertising. Yet it has more value, because publicity is treated as news.
Myth 2. You must first have media contacts to get free publicity. While having contacts can help, thousands of businesses and individuals without contacts get publicity every day.
Myth 3. Only the big guys can get free publicity. Wrong. Refer to Myth 2.
Myth 4. It’s a good idea to send your press release everywhere. Wrong. You should target your release to the right media outlets and the right journalists. Send it only to the reporters and editors who cover the type of story you want to pitch. Don’t waste journalists’ time by sending them a press release that doesn’t pertain to the types of stories they do. If you send them too many unrelated press releases, when you have something great to pitch, they won’t even read it.

Business Infos – How to write good advertising content?
Written by Manu Hagen on March 11, 2010 – 9:27 am -To write successful advertisement content is to catch the attention of the customer at first sight as they flicker though the brochures and fliers like they flip through a magazine and not how they will read books with concentration. It need not be necessary that the customer reads each and every line of the advertisement; hence, each line should be effective and should pass out a message.
Firstly, only relevant and specific matter should be written in the ad. Some content writers fear missing out information and write as much as they can. This will only disinterest the customers more and space will be wasted. The writing style should be related to the type of flier or brochure that is to be written. Its usual for the reader to read skipping lines in between and there is a possibility that they will read it from bottom to top. It always helps to use words that sell. But still, the content should be properly organized with the heading at the top, body in the middle and conclusion at the end. The main points can be written as sub-headings, in bold font. The body following the sub-heading should discuss the sub-heading and if it is related to any other sub-heading, even those points should be discussed.
